Upcoming Webinar: Move Your Body. Grow Your Mind
Wondering how movement helps to support diverse learners in the 21st century classroom?
Facilitated by Jackie Bartell, M. Ed.
Thursday, May 16, 2019 | 4:30pm - 5:30pm EST
This Webinar will share how movement allows students to access curriculum in a well-regulated way. Students come to the classroom with a variety of sensory systems, and when the brain is not processing sensory input well, it is usually not directing behavior effectively. Movement and sensory input helps students to process their environment in a way that activates learning and engagement. Creating learning environments that facilitate sensory organizing activities benefits all students and improves educational outcomes.
For the last 20 years, Jackie has focused on Autism and the application of the DIR model to education both in and outside the classroom, as well as training hundreds of professionals and families on the DIR model of intervention. She has been a certified DIR facilitator since 2001 and has worked in the field of special education for over 30 years. Additionally Jackie is a trainer for ICDL, providing online instruction globally in the DIR model.

BEST FLEXIBLE SEATING OPTION AROUND!
The most popular flexible seating option in my classroom! Bought the 14 inch and is the perfect size for 5-8 year olds! It is so versatile and the students have no trouble turning it or managing how they want to use it. Very sturdy, very appealing, and worth every penny! Love the Vidget!!
Parents LOVE the Vidget!
"My Autistic 6-year-old son has been able to focus more attentively while sitting on his Vidget. Not only is his overall focus better but his speech therapy has become more effective. We love the Vidget!"
"After just 2 weeks of using this chair I can already see a huge difference with my daughter. I was expecting it would take some time for her to get used to the Vidget, but I was wrong. Thanks for such a great product."
Vidget 3-in-1 Flexible Seating improves attention.Research shows 90% reduction in observable disruptive behaviors and 74% reduction in the number times the teacher had to redirect a student!
Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Pepper, shares that one of her students has "TAKEN OFF in her ability to attend to written tasks. After a week of using the Vidget the student was writing using 1-2 sentences and is now sitting down for extended periods of time to write 5-6 sentence paragraphs! The student often sits to write of her own accord now. I'm so grateful to have the Vidgets to give her the sensory input she needs so that the output matches her ability level. Vidgets are an amazing seating option for early education students! I think every Kindergarten class should have them! read research report >> |
